Biography

Will Lee

Firmware Systems Engineer

Will Lee started out learning how things work by taking things apart, and not being able to put them back together.

That foundation of curiosity was what drove him to become an engineer.

After getting his bachelor’s degree from UCSD, Will started out at Universal Electronics working on software that helped users to program their remote controls more easily. Along the way, he cobbled together various home electronics projects varying from low power microcontrollers and sensors to embedded Linux projects. This exploration eventually got him into working on firmware for NeuroSky for wearable fitness trackers, and to connected home products at Quirky.

As the Playground Firmware Systems Engineer, Will works on software for various platforms that will ultimately help portfolio companies develop their connected hardware products faster.
