Kenyon Han is a Playground Product Manager with a background in hardware design and electrical engineering.
He joined Playground in 2015 from Sproutling. The “connected baby” startup makes an ankle band that monitors vital signs and environmental factors like room temperature and light levels.
Kenyon says that people are more willing than ever to let technology into their lives.
“We're all asked to do more things and think about more things during the day now,” he says. “So how can we develop products that make people more efficient, able to get more done, as opposed to forcing them to think about yet another thing they have to maintain.”
Kenyon holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Previously he worked on electrical hardware for various consumer and computing devices at Apple, including the iPad, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
At Playground, Kenyon seeks to combine his engineering and business experience to help bring new products to market. He says joining Playground was a compelling opportunity because of “good, lofty ambitions, and the potential to back it up with resources.”
Outside of work, Kenyon enjoys hiking, collecting and building Lego sets, and cheering on the Cal Golden Bears.
