Biography

Gabby Halberg

UX Software Engineer

As a UX software engineer, Gabby describes her job as working “in the fuzzy space around defining new product experiences.”

She previously worked as a software engineer at Amazon Lab126. At Playground, she designs and implements new concepts with high-fidelity prototypes that serve to help developers and stakeholders understand possible pain points and iteratively refine the product experience.

Pain points are familiar to Gabby, who scuba dives, rock climbs, and bikes on both mountain and road. She plays soccer several times a week and has practiced aerial arts (acrobatics on a suspended apparatus like a trapeze, hoop, or hanging fabric).

All of these pursuits are designed to help Gabby get to her “happy place” both physically and intellectually, which she describes as “upside down, slightly uncomfortable, figuring out how to do something new.”
