Biography

Eric Aeby

Senior Hardware Engineer

Eric Aeby is a hardware engineer with a background in design and development.

At Hewlett-Packard, Ball Aerospace, and Local Motion, he designed electrical and embedded systems for the likes of enterprise data controller, star-tracking satellites and vehicle mobility systems.

Eric wanted to be an engineer for as long as he can remember, even writing that he wanted to be an “enginy” in his third grade writing journal. “I had no idea what an engineer was, or how to spell it, I just wanted to be an ‘inventor’.”

In college, Eric first studied computer information systems, business, architecture, and robotics before earning both his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering.

As Senior Hardware Engineer at Playground, Eric looks forward to helping startup teams realize their visions and bring amazing devices to life.

“We're really trying to accelerate design cycles and help companies advance quickly through the design process,” he says. “It's a fun challenge.”
